Merchandise Condition Categories
- New – Brand-new products that have never been used, opened, or sold. These are typically in their original packaging and in perfect condition.
- Overstock – Unsold inventory from retailers or manufacturers, often due to overproduction or slow sales. These items are usually brand new but may have older packaging or discontinued models.
- Shelf-Pulls – Items removed from store shelves due to seasonal changes, minor packaging damage, or updated product versions. These are generally new but may show slight signs of handling.
- Closeouts – Products that are being discontinued or liquidated by retailers or manufacturers. These items are new but are sold at discounted prices to clear inventory.
- Customer Returns – Items that have been purchased and returned by customers. They may be in new or used condition, sometimes with damaged packaging or minor defects.
- Pre-Owned Merchandise – Previously used or owned items that may be in good, refurbished, or worn condition. These products are often sold at a discount and may be inspected, cleaned, or repaired before resale.
